Prescott spikers go 3-2 in tourney
LA CROSSE - Prescott High School's volleyball team recorded a 3-2 record in a weekend tournament in La Crosse.
The tournament was held at Logan High school. The Cardinals defated Whitehall 25-18 25-17, lost to St. Charles, Minn. 25-23, 24-26, and 7-15;
defeated Onalaska Lutheran 21-25, 25-17, 15-10, defeated LaCrosse Logan 25-19, 25-23 but lost to St. Charles again 25-22, 25-14.
"The girls played hard and they are getting more confident," Prescott head coach Patti Tulip said. "Hopefully the past few weeks will help them with post season play."
PHS' Autumn Stees made 29 Assists while teammate Erika Krings had 11 for the tournament. Taran Strand and Mary Kate Pryor each had 25 kills and Megan Murphy had 19 and Alyssa Krings 18. Alyssa Krings had 51 digs and Breanna Kinneman had 48. Pryor score four aces, Erika Krings had three, Stees and Kinneman both had two aces. Pryor had 27 blocks and Strand had 20.
Prescott's record is now 16-21 overall. The Cards wrap-up their regular season tonight at Amery. The seeding meeting for next week's regional tournaments are on Wednesday.
