Lytle started the inning with a single and stole second. Brandon Keiper then laid down a sacrifice bunt, advancing Lytle to third, setting the stage for Seifert.

Billy Brookshaw earned the win as he pitched the last 2 1/3 innings in relief. He gave up only one hit and one walk. Lytle, who started and pitched into the sixth, led the Cardinal offense with two hits.

Prescott led 1-0 before Parkview scored three runs in the sixth inning. The Cardinals tied it up in the bottom of the inning, as Keiper's RBI double scored Lytle. Keiper then came around to score on a balk.

Trevor Aasen, who went 4-for-4, for Parkview took the loss. The Vikings did out hit the Cardinals 12-10.

Prescott now has two state titles in baseball, with the previous one coming in 1994.
