Raye to pay tribute to Cline June 19

"A Tribute to Patsy Cline" will be performed by Colleen Raye on Saturday, June 19, at 2 and 7 p.m. at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson. Raye is an Ellsworth area native.

Accompanied by "Cocktail Stevie and the Tablerockers," Raye sings song after song recorded by Cline while interspersing tidbits about Cline's life and music. Cline was an American country music singer who enjoyed pop music crossover success during the era of the Nashville sound in the early 1960s.

Singing hits like "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," "Walkin' After Midnight" and "She's Got You," Raye's rich alto voice truly captures the soulful feeling of Cline. Picking up the pace with rockabilly tunes, the audience is invited to clap along, sing and even yodel.
