MAIDEN ROCK -- A Red Wing man was transported by ambulance to Fairview Red Wing Hospital late Wednesday afternoon after his motorcycle was struck by a car in downtown Maiden Rock.
David A. Johnson, 55, was northbound on Main Street or Hwy. 35 when a car driven by Lia Hood, 25, of British Columbia pulled from a stop sign at Oak Street and struck the motorcycle.
Johnson was ejected from the cycle and the extent of his injuries weren't known, according to Pierce County sheriff's deputy Andrew Thoms.
Neither Hood nor a passenger in her 2011 Kia Soul SUV were injured.
