Reds double up Brewers 8-4
MILWAUKEE - Cincinnati's bats exploded for five runs in the 10th inning as the Reds doubled Milwaukee 8-4. That ended a three-game winning streak for the Brewers and dropped them back into a tie for first place in the National League Central Division.
The Cardinals beat Arizona 7-6, while Pittsburgh is still a game back after losing to the Cubs.
Jay Bruce's home run started the big extra-inning rally. A failed bunt attempt kept Milwaukee from taking the game in the bottom of the ninth.
Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun missed his seventh straight game and will have to skip Tuesday's All-Star game with a strained left calf. He was the top vote-getter for the National League. He will be replaced by Pittsburgh's Andrew McCutcheon.
