The Ellsworth Rod and Gun Club held its annual meeting on Jan. 14 at the local American Legion Hall with over two-thirds of their members in attendance.

Jack Hines, president, presided, giving the members complete financial figures for 2013. Mitch Huppert and Brian Madsen completed their terms on the board, and Scott Gulbranson and Greg Eaton were elected to replace them. Four new members were also voted and accepted.

Kenny Hines and Gary Allyn were honored as cooks for the past 10 years and retiring. Katie Wildermuth of Ptacek’s IGA catering in Prescott will be on board and will prepare the food the same as Hines and Allyn, who will assist her to be sure all the guidelines will be followed. April 24 will be the first feed, followed by 13 more every other Thursday evening.

Schedules and tickets can be purchased at Snowball’s Bar, 715-273-5174, Brad’s Corner Liquor, 715-273-3595, and at JR’s Corner Bar in Plum City, 715-495-5611. For larger parties, make reservations so all can be seated together. Serving begins at 5:30 p.m. and continues to 8:30 p.m., with the bar opening at 4:30 p.m. Trap is available any time after the bar opens.

An organizing board of directors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Snowball’s Bar.

Season tickets and punch cards are available from Dean Hines, 715-821-0131, or any board member. Board members are Jack Hines, Ray Huppert, Brad Johnson, Jens Loberg, Greg Eaton and Scott Gulbranson.
