Rosalie Moran, 74
Rosalie Moran, age 74, of El Paso Township died suddenly on Sept. 19.
Rosalie was born July 6, 1939, the daughter of Carroll and Myrtle (Thompson) Gaustad at Baldwin, Wis. She grew up and attended school at Baldwin, graduating with the Class of 1957.
On Nov. 25, 1961, Rosalie married Barry Moran at Hammond, Wis. They have lived and raised their family in El Paso ever since. Roaslie worked at Smeads in River Falls and also at McMillan Electric in Woodville. She was a fun loving lady who was not afraid to speak her mind. In 1994 she suffered a stroke and was unable to continue working. Rosalie enjoyed reading, playing games, and visiting with family and friends. She had a lovely ability to connect with children and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She has now been joined together with her parents; brother Peter Gaustad; and son Brendan who died just two months ago, on July 27.
Rosalie will be greatly missed by her husband Barry of El Paso; her children: Cheryl (Randy) Husfloen of El Paso, Patricia (Mike Flett) of Ellsworth, Brian Moran, and Melissa Moran of El Paso; grandchildren: Luke (Emmy) Husfloen and Alex Husfloen, Morgan Christopherson, Ashtyn Moran and Cierra Kennedy; great-grandchildren Logan, Brianna, and Marley. Siblings: Marlys DeSmith of Hammond, Charlene Snyder of Azusa, Calif., Diane Jeske of Glenwood City, Janice Knipfel of Green Bay, Carolyn (Stanley) Hanson of Baldwin, Madolyn (Laurence) Vier of Baldwin, Phyllis Raehsler of Baldwin, Thomas (Sandy) Gaustad of Woodville. Sister-in-law Harriett Anderson of El Paso; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, at Keehr Funeral Home in Spring Valley. Funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spring Valley with Fr. Kevin Louis and Deacon Kevin Ray officiating.
Music was provided by guitarist Tom Gaffe and the Sacred Heart Church Choir. Burial was at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, El Paso Township, Wis.
Bearers were: Pete Gaustad, Tim Gaustad, Mike DeSmith, Mark Anderson, Brett Anderson, and Terry Sweeney. Honorary bearers were Randy Husfloen, Luke Husfloen, Alex Husfloen, and Mike Flett.
