Security tighened at courthouse for Schaffhausen trial, one arrested
HUDSON - Law enforcement officials say security will be tightened at the St. Croix County courthouse when the Schaffhausen case resumes next Monday.
Though they didn't say why, they did confirm that one person was arrested at the courthouse yesterday.
People who used to work with murder defendant Aaron Schaffhausen have told the court Friday they heard him say he wanted to kill his ex-wife, their children and the man she was dating. They say Schaffhausen repeated the wish several times in the months before he killed his three young daughters.
Schaffhausen has pleaded guilty, meaning the testimony the St. Croix County Circuit Court jury has been hearing for the last week is being given to determine a sentence or determination of his mental health.
