Seneca High School athletic events postponed due to death of students
SENECA - Seneca High School has postponed its baseball and softball games today - and they withdrew from a track meet - after two sophomores died in a car wreck.
Funeral services for 16-year-old Skyler Hammond will be held tomorrow in Soldiers Grove. A memorial service for 16-year-old Brandon Buffington will take place on Wednesday in Prairie du Chien. Both teens are from Eastman, and they were killed last week in a head-on crash in which their car collided with a van in Crawford County.
Seneca High School is on spring break until Wednesday, but athletic events have still been taking place. Buffington's 10-year-old brother Austin remained in stable condition at last word at a hospital in La Crosse.
