Sharon Johnson, 66
Sharon Marie (Martin) Johnson was born in Red Wing, Minn., on Aug. 28, 1946, the second of four children of Raymond and Muriel Martin of Ellsworth, Wis. Sharon attended school in Ellsworth and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1964. After graduation Sharon trained for a medical technician career in Minneapolis, Minn. She married Terry Johnson in 1966, and later their son Roger was born. After Sharon's divorce, she provided for herself and her son by working as a medical technician in various clinics in Minnesota and Wisconsin, rising to the position of supervisor at the Red Wing, Minn., clinic.
In her spare time and after retirement, Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and baking, and crocheting.
Sharon passed away in St. Paul, Minn., on Thursday, June 27.
Survivors are son Roger Johnson; daughter-in-law Penny; grandchildren Dakota and Lee; brothers William and Robert; sister Colleen; nieces Danielle and Erin; nephew Jason; and special friend Max McDonnell.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Raymond and Muriel Martin.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
Services were held on Saturday, July 6, at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
