Sheboygan votes 'no' to $2 million in federal stimulus
The city of Sheboygan is saying "no" to more than $2 million in federal stimulus cash.
The Common Council voted 8-7 Monday against an offer to take funding to buy five new transit buses for the city.
They would replace five buses that are 20 years old with smaller, air-conditioned vehicles which pollute less.
But opponents said the new buses would be a waste, since many go around town empty all day.
