Spring Valley High School Homecoming this week
SPRING VALLEY - The King and Queen of Spring Valley High school's 2013 Homecoming Court were crowned at a ceremony Monday evening.
This year's Queen is Emily Boisen and the King is Zach Newton.
The ceremony kicked off Homecoming week at SVHS. Dress up days Monday and Tuesday were Toga day and Back of the Closet day respectively. Wednesday will be Crazy Class Pride Day followed by Honor Your Teacher Day on Thursday and Biomania Day on Friday.
Tuesday featured at annual FFA Agriculture Olympics during fifth and sixth hours and tonight is the Homecoming volleyball match between Spring Valley and rival Plum City starting at 7 p.m
The rest of the week Powder-Puff Football Game and Boys Cheer-Off set for 7th and 8th hours Wednesday. Thursday's activity is UltiMan Frisbee and the Girls' Cheer-Off during third and fourth hours. On Friday the annual Homecoming Parade through Spring Valley starts at 2:50 p.m. and the football game between Spring Valley and Boyceville is set for 7 p.m. at Williams Stadium in Menomonie. The Spring Valley Vallettes, SVHS Marching Band and the Homecoming Court will be featured at halftime.
On Saturday, starting at 8 p.m., will be the Homecoming Dance and Bonfire at Spring Valley Middle/High School.
This year's Homecoming official calss colords are Seniors - Black; Juniors - Green; Sophomores - Camo and Freshman - Gray.
