SPRING VALLEY - Despite losing game one, Spring Valley High School's volleyball team dominated games two through four for a 3-1 win over Mondovi Thursday evening.

The Buffaloes had outscored SV 10-3 to win game one 25-20 but the remainder of the match was dominated by the Cardinals with good serving and control of the net area with kill after kill coming SV hitters Emily Boisen, Becky Fesenmaier, Aly Lee and Nevada Schlegel. Mondovi also hurt themselves with a good number of net violations. The game scores were 25-18, 25-18 and 25-14 Cardinals.

Spring Valley's win along with a 3-0 win by Colfax at Boyceville, put the two teams on a collison course for the Dunn-St. Croix title next Tuesday in Colfax at 7 p.m. Both teams are 7-1 in league play. Mondovi dros out of the title race as they fall to 6-2, tied with Elk Mound.

Spring Valley improves to 25-7 overall.
