State budget plan's impact on Ellsworth schools previewed
Superintendent Barry Cain updated the local budget process in light of developments at the state level for the Ellsworth School Board Monday.
Cain said a big part of Gov. Scott Walker's state budget proposal addresses the funding of education. Nearly $1 billion in cuts could be made in this regard.
School officials here have been in contact with consultants from Baird and Associates about the possibilities for such reductions to occur, the superintendent said.
"The net effect is these numbers can change," he emphasized before sharing projected figures.
