STATE SPORTS ROUNDUP: Kenseth now seventh in NASCAR point standings

Matt Kenseth of Cambridge was 22nd yesterday in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race in Pocono, Pennsylvania. Kenseth spun out during the final laps of the Go Bowling-Dot-Com-400. He dropped one place to Number-seven in the Sprint Cup season point standings, 134 points behind front-running Jimmie Johnson. Travis Kvapil of Janesville was 26th at Pocono, and he remains 35th in the point totals. Paul Menard of Eau Claire finished 32nd yesterday, and he remains 19th in the standings.
