Stockholm Art Fair coming on Saturday, July 19
STOCKHOLM -- The 35th annual Stockholm Art Fair will be held Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Stockholm Village Park.
Original art and fine crafts will be exhibited, come rain or shine.
Over 100 juried regional artists will display and sell their work, which includes pottery, wood, wearable and two-dimensional fiber, metal sculpture, paintings, drawings, clay sculpture, a wide variety of jewelry, glass, leather and photography.
The poster design this year is a watercolor of Stockholm in the winter, created by local artist John Meyer.
Original music will be played throughout the day. Established regional musical artists will be highlighted. Performing musical artists are: 10-10:45, Trapper Schoepp Band (Ellsworth); 11-11:45, Mike Quick; 12-1:15, Patchouli; 1:30-2:15, Cam Waters; 2:30-3:40; Bryce, Young and Yata, 4-5, Lehto and Wright.
The fair committee will present awards to outstanding exhibiting artists chosen by special guest judges. The awards presentation will be held at 2 p.m. on stage.
There will be grilled portabella mushroom sandwiches, wild rice bratwurst, Greek food choices, locally raised organic chicken and beef on pita bread, homemade ice cream and locally roasted coffee available. A to Z Produce will sell crepes, pan au chocolate, salads and wood-fired bread.
The Lake Pepin Art and Design Center will offer some fun childrens' activities as well in the park.
