SPRING VALLEY - Five individual champions, 12 sectional qualifiers and a team title was the haul the Spring Valley/Elmwood prep wrestling co-op team took from Saturday's WIAA Division 3 regional meet in the Spring Valley High School gymnasium.

No. 1 ranked SVE edged No. 5 Boyceville by a 279.5 to 222 margin with Glenwood City taking third place.

Winning regional titles for the Redbirds were Cruze Hurlburt at 120 pounds, Tyler Berg at 126, Zach Newton at 145, Jed Schlegel at 152 and Ethan Hofacker at 195. Both Berh and Hofacker won their championship matches by pinfall.

The team title puts SVE in the WIAA D-3 Boyceville Team Sectional on Tuesday starting at 6 p.m.  SV/Elmwood faces Cumberland in one semifinal match and Phillips takes on La Crosse Aquinas in the other semi.

Qualifiers for next Saturday's D-3 Individual Sectional at Osseo-Fairchild include Derek Hubel at 113, Logan Newton at 32, Trent Miller at 160, Keven Fesenmaier at 170, Chris Craft at 182, Mike Roesler at 220 and D.J. Wheeler at 285.
