LA CROSSE - Spring Valley's Breanna Colbenson capped off her brilliant high school athletic career with her second state track and field title Saturday at the WIAA state meet.

Colbenson again edged out Hartland University Lake School's Isabel Seidel to win the girls' Division 3, 3200-meter run in a time of 10:56.24. Runner-up Seidel finished at 11:02.55.

Colbenson won the mile runs yesterday ran the 3200 mid-afternoon. This morning she was a part of Valley's 3200-meter relay team which finished fourth. Besides Colbenson, there was fellow senior Riley Bowman, junior Emma Gaustad and sophomore Sara King running for the Cardinals.

Colbenson's two titles plus the 3200-meter relay team's fourth place gave Spring Valley 25 team points, good for sixth place in the standings. Edgar won the state championship with 70 points and Fond du Lac St. Mary's Springs was second at 36.5 points.
