T-Wolves's Love named NBA All-Star Game reserve
NEW YORK - Minnesota Timberwolves star forward Kevin Love has been named an NBA All-Star reserve for the Western Conference.
Love will be joined on the West bench by Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, Phoenix's Steve Nash, Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge, San Antonio's Tony Parker, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook and Marc Gasol of the Grizzlies.
Love is averaging 25 points and 13.7 boards per game this season. The All-Star Game will be played Sunday, February 26th in Orlando.
Kevin Love will return from a two-game suspension this evening as the Minnesota Timberwolves open up a brief two-game homestand against the Dallas Mavericks at the Target Center. Love missed games against Sacramento and Memphis for stomping on Luis Scola's head in Minnesota's 100-91 win over Houston last weekend. The T'wolves had a three-game winning streak snapped with an 85-80 setback at Memphis on Wednesday to fall to 13-and-13 on the season.
