Taplin says goodbye after 40 years
Norma Taplin initially took a job with the Ellsworth School District so she could see more of her two children, Lori and Jeff, at the time.
Taplin has stayed in that position, a secretary for the Junior High/Middle School for the last 40 years, so it's safe to say she grew to like the job.
"It was close to home and I hated driving," Taplin explained as her previous job was for 3-M in the Twin Cities. "It was a good place to be for the kids and I liked it so well, I just stayed."
All good things must come to an end as Taplin announced her retirement after 40 years, effective the end of this month, upon the completion of summer school.
