This Saturday starting at 6:30 p.m., a fundraising event for "Art+FIRE09" will be held at "The Cottage in the Corn" above Stockholm.

The event is being held at Judith Van Cleve's rural Stockholm retreat and will feature a fall menu from the many shops of the village, including The Good Apple, The Stockholm Pie Company, Bogus Creek Cafe the Palate, Maiden Rock Winery and Cidery, and Gelly's. There will be fine foods, wines, gourmet cheeses, craft beers, artisan ciders and live local music. Join in the sweepstakes for exquisite items from local shops and artists.

The funds raised will go toward Art+FIRE09, a public art event held on the shores of Lake Pepin in Stockholm on the night of Saturday, Sept. 26. This year, a 70-foot-long wooden "Lake Monster" will be set afire as the sun sets across the lake.

The tickets are $45 in advance, with reservations required, as there is limited seating. Call 715-442-2266 for reservations or more information, or visit www.stockholmwisconsin.com.
