'Taste of Tuscany' benefits Ellsworth schools June 7
A special fundraiser event along the banks of the Rush River will raise money to benefit students in the Ellsworth School District.
"A Taste of Tuscany" hosted by the Ellsworth Community School District Foundation is Friday, June 7, at Vino in the Valley in rural Ellsworth.
The fun and relaxing event will feature entertainment by local artists Colleen Raye and Tim Brunner during the social hour and dinner. There will be wine tasting, an Italian buffet dinner and silent auction. The social hour begins at 4:30 p.m. and dinner runs from 5-8 p.m.
Guests will also be able to take wagon rides along the Rush River and enjoy the vineyards.
The event is the major fundraiser for the foundation, helping to carry on the mission of enhancing education opportunities for students in the district through private revenues. During the past six years, the foundation has provided more than $40,000 in support of additional educational opportunities it says were not available otherwise due to tightening budgets.
Tickets cost $35, available through Sue Hinck at 715-273-5500 or any foundation member. Tickets can also be purchased at Vino in the Valley, the Ellsworth School District office or Nilssen's Foods in Ellsworth.
