There's a hoax all right, he says
TO THE EDITOR:
It is certainly true that, among scientists educated at the Rush Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies (which of course doesn't really exist), global warming is a documented scam/hoax.
Likewise, over at Rupert Murdoch's Fox Fake News, prize-winning junk-scientists like Bill O'Reilly, Glen Beck and Sean Hannity pontificate daily with their latest nonsensical talking-points, and cult-member listeners are in unanimous agreement that it's all a hoax concocted by liberals. (Presumably "liberals" like George W. Bush and John McCain--not that they would ever try and do anything about it if it threatened some business lobbyist's financial interests.)
Gee, did you ever notice that these views exactly coincide with that of the Coal Lobby and the American Petroleum Institute, which contribute millions to propagandize the public with discredited claims designed to delude the ill-informed? Just an amazing coincidence, I guess.
Oh, and wouldn't it be great if certain local letter writers could complete a paragraph without slandering political opponents as Nazis, communists or socialists? But maybe that is impossible for people getting their information from the right wing echo chamber.
