Harrell has a $575,000 roster bonus that's due, and the Packers could cut him before they have to pay it. Harrell has only played in 14 games due to a number of injuries.

We're expected to find out today whether the NFL season will begin on time. The league's owners will meet in Atlanta - and vice president Jeff Pash said the NFL's labor panel met for five hours yesterday to go over a proposed new collective bargaining agreement with the players. The players have not scheduled a vote, but Pash says the owners could go ahead and ratify it anyway. He said the plan was to have both sides vote on the deal today. Pash said he was cautiously optimistic it would happen.
