Timberwolves look to keep playoff run going against Bucks tonight
MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Timberwolves can keep their slim NBA playoff hopes alive tonight with a home victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Wolves are 31-31, five games back for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot with 20 to play. Minnesota is coming off a seven-point loss to Toronto on Sunday. Wolves' center Kevin Love fell just short of a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. The Bucks ended a three-game losing streak with a seven-point home win over Orlando last night.
It's been almost a year since Milwaukee has won back-to-back games. They'll try it again tonight for the 13th time this season. Minnesota has become a real nemesis for the Bucks, as the Timberwolves have outscored Milwaukee by an average of 14 points in each of their last three match-ups -- all T-Wolves' victories. Also, the Bucks will try again to win their third game against Western Conference opponents. They're 2-22 in that department, with victories over the LA Lakers and Utah.
