Tough start for PHS volleyball team vs. Hastings

PRESCOTT - The Prescott High School volleyball team lost its season and home starting-out match vs. Hastings Tuesday evening.

The Raiders swept PHS 3-0. The game scores were 25-18, 25-21 and 25-19 Hastings.


The Raiders took big leads in all three games thanks to top-notch serving. PHS rallied in each game but were not able to break the visitors' momentum.

Lily Weiser led Prescott with seven kills and six blocks. PHS's Anna Weiser and Gabby Janovec both had four kills and six blocks. Annie Pryor finished with six assists for the Cardinals.

Prescott will play in the St. Croix Central Quadrangular Thursday at Hammond.
