ORDINANCE NO. 2013 – 05
Increase the numbers of Town Supervisors by Two

History:
At the Town of Oak Grove’s Annual Meeting held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, in the Town Hall, a motion was made by and seconded to increase the Town Board size from two Town Supervisors to four Town Supervisors beginning April 2014. A discussion followed. The Motion was voted on by the Town Electors who attended the Annual Town Meeting and approved.
Town Board, increased size authorized. Wisconsin State Statue 60.21:
In Towns where the Town Board has Village Powers, any Town Board authorized to exercise Village Powers may, by ordinance, increase the number of supervisors to no more than five. If the number of supervisors is increased to 4, the town shall elect 2 supervisors each year. If the number is increased to 5, the town shall elect 3 supervisors in odd- numbered years and 2 supervisors in even-numbered years.
Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective upon adoption by the Town Board and publication as required by law.
