Twins snap losing streak thanks to Mauer's three-run homer

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Joe Mauer smacked a three-run homer among his three hits and the Minnesota Twins beat the Baltimore Orioles, 6-1, in the middle test of a three-game set.

Mauer posted four RBI and scored a pair of runs, while Brian Dozier belted a solo shot to go with three hits and three runs scored for the Twins, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Kevin Correia (1-3) surrendered a run on five hits, while fanning three over seven frames for the win.

Wei-Yin Chen (3-2) allowed three runs -- two earned -- on six hits and a walk over five innings for Baltimore, which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

The game was tied 1-1 through two innings, but the Twins plated a run in the third and the fifth before adding three more in the seventh to surge ahead.
