Twins win series finale over White Sox
CHICAGO (Sports Network) - Chris Colabello helped spark a three-run second inning for the Minnesota Twins, who defeated the Chicago White Sox, 4-3, in the finale of a three-game set.
Colabello, Eric Fryer and Brian Dozier all drove in runs with singles in the second to help the Twins snap a two-game losing streak and a five-game skid to the White Sox.
Scott Diamond (6-11) earned the win after allowing three runs on five hits across 6 1/3 innings. It was the left-hander's first victory since June 20.
The Minnesota bullpen only allowed one hit the rest of the way, with Glen Perkins picking up his 36th save of the season after throwing a perfect ninth.
