Two hurt in town of Rock Elm crash Saturday
Two women were transported to Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie with injuries early Saturday afternoon after their vehicles collided on a Pierce County road in the town of Rock Elm.
Vehicles driven by Jeanette Brunner, 66, of Arkansaw, and Tracy Eeten, 42, of Plum City, collided after Brunner, who was northbound on CTH S, attempted to turn west onto 450th Avenue and struck Eeten's southbound car.
Both women were the lone occupants in their vehicles, according to Pierce County sheriff's deputy Robin Kivel.
EMS and fire personnel from Elmwood responded, along with an Elmwood police officer to the call, received at 12:25 p.m.
Radio reports from the scene indicated one driver may have suffered a broken leg and one complained of chest pain, possibly the result of impact with the steering column.
The crash remains under investigation.
