Email News Alerts

RED WING - The FAA is investigating an ultra-light plane crash in a rural Goodhue County corn field, but neither the pilot nor his passenger were hurt.

The sheriff's department says 65-year-old Neal Stenlund was landing on a grass runway when he had difficulty steering the plane due to wet grass.

The ultralight veered into a cornfield and tipped on its side.  Neither Stenlund or 36-year-old passenger Jason Fitzgerald were hurt.
