Update: Ellsworth's Place finishes eighth in NCAA meet, Prescott's Peloquin All-American too

Ellsworth's Morgan Place finished in eighth place in the NCAA Division II National Indoor Track and Field Meet Saturday in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Place ran the 5,000-meters in 17:28.72 for the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She had the only team points the Bulldogs scored in the meet. The finish was good enough for another All-American showing.

The winning time was in 17:19.28 by Shippenburg, Pa. State's Neely Spence. Lincoln University won the team title again.

UW-Eau Claire's women's distance medley relay team finished second, reaching All-American status. The group of Alyssa Sybilrud (So.-Savage, Minn./Burnsville), Hayley Suckow (Sr.-Elk Mound, Wis.), Maria Peloquin (Jr.-Prescott, Wis.) and Hannah Humbach (Sr.-Madison, Wis./Abundant Life) recorded a time of 11:51.63. They finished just over a second behind the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) runners.
