Update: Hager City man injured in snowmobile accident outside of Plum City (Prescott man also injured in snowmobile accident)
PLUM CITY - A Hager City man was injured in a snowmobile accident just south of Plum City Saturday evening.'
According to Pierce County Sheriff's reports, 24-year old Troy Minder lost control of his snowmobile riding trails approximately a half-mile south of Plum City near CTH. U around 9:20 p.m. The sled left the trails and landed in Plum Creek. A friend of Troy's who also operating a sled, pulled him from the creek and brought him to CTH. U where Ellsworth EMS and Plum City Fire department personnel began treatment.
Minder was transported to Fairview Medical Center in Red Wing with unknown injuries. He was listed in stable condition Monday morning. The crash is still under investigation.
At 12:15 a.m. a Prescott man, Mathias Reis, was hurt in a snowmobile accident southeast of Ellsworth near 490th Ave.
Reis injured his leg according to Pierce County Sheriff's reports. The reports also stated that Reis was navigating a curve on the trail and fell of the sled. The crash is still under investigation. Reis was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where he was listed in good condition Monday morning.
Assisting at the scene were Ellsworth Fire and Ambulance services along with Life Link Helicopter and the county sheriff's department.
