According to Pierce County Sheriff's deputy Herman Kreig, Bradley Wipperling, 53, Red Wing, was southbound on Hwy. 63, driving the minivan, when BreAnna Tucker, 17, Hastings, who was driving the Cavalier, was eastbound on Hwy. VV, stopped at the stop sign and failed to yield to Wipperling, causing the collision. Tucker was planning on crossing Hwy. 63 to proceed onto 150th Ave.

Kreig said the Sheriff's Office received word of the accident at 2:24 p.m. The minivan, which was damaged on its front passenger side corner, ended up facing south in a ditch along Hwy. 63. The Cavalier was extensively damaged in the front.

Kreig said there were no other passengers in either vehicle and Tucker was cited for failure to yield.

Red Wing Police also assisted the Sheriff's Office at the scene.
