UPDATE: Pierce County man in fair condition after foot gets stuck in lawnmower

Wednesday evening, June 12, a 32-year town of El Paso man overturned his John Deere lawnmower after swerving sharply to avoid hitting the family dog. His left leg was pinned under the mower deck. The man's mother came out to help free his leg.

Ellsworth Ambulance medics arrived to take David W. Forss to Regions Hospital in St. Paul for what were described as non-life threatening injuries. A spokesperson said Thursday Forss was in fair condition.

The incident took place at N6310 490th St. in El Paso just after 6 p.m. The dog involved in the incident was a large, elderly German Shepherd.
