UPDATE: Two car accident outside of Ellsworth

A two-car accident occurred Monday afternoon outside of Ellsworth.

A 2004 Oldsmobile Alero driven by Gabrielle Ryan, 20, Ellsworth was northbound on County Highway DD when she stopped at the stop sign on US Highway 10.

Ryan than proceeded to go northbound on USH 10 when she was struck by a 2006 Ford Focus driven by Tiffany Parker, 23, Ellsworth., who was westbound on USH 10. Ryan told officers she didn't see Parker when she made the turn onto USH 10.

The accident occurred around 4 p.m., according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

Courtney Books, 22, Ellsworth was a passenger in the Ryan car, while a three-year-old male was a passenger in the Parker car. Both Books and Ryan were uninjured while Parker and the three-year-old were taken from the scene by Ellsworth Area Ambulance.

Ellsworth Fire was also on scene. The Sheriff's Department added the accident remains under investigation.
