UPDATED: Victim identified in Dunn County fatality

A 55-year-old Colfax woman died Thursday morning as the result of a semi/car collision in Dunn County. 

Hong Rost was driving a car westbound on County Highway D in the town of Tainter when it pulled onto the path of the northbound semi, reports the Dunn County Sheriff's Office. The accident happened around 8 a.m.

Chief Deputy Paul Gunness stated in a press release, Rost was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dunn County Medical Examiner, while the semi driver was uninjured. 

Dunn officers along with the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene as well as Menomonie Fire and EMS.

Gunness added the accident remains under investigation.
