UW hockey report: Men beat U.S. junior team, women split with UND

The Wisconsin women's hockey team blanked North Dakota 2-0, splitting the weekend series in chilly Fargo. Wisconsin's record is 13-6-3, including 10-5-1 in WCHA play. Brooke Ammerman scored the only goal the Badgers would need at the 6:07 mark of the first period. It was her 15th of the season. Becca Ruegsegger got the shutout. For the second evening in a row, Jasmine Giles scored a goal in the final seconds. Her score made it 2-0 on her fourth goal of the season.
