ELMWOOD - Spring Valley's girls basketball team trailed for much of its contest at Elmwood Tuesday but a second half rally led the Cardinals to a 56-48 win.

SV trailed by as much as 10 points, 34-24, early in the third quarter but put on a full-court press that forced turnovers which led to easy baskets that quickly brought them back in the ballgame. They cut the Raiders' lead to two 37-35 before the fourth quarter and outscored Elmwood there 21-11.

Spring Valley was led in scoring by Aarynn Deutsch and Kali Howe with 16 and 14 points respectively while Becky Wolf scored 20 points for the Raiders.
