Vikings sign Bishop to one-year contract
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent linebacker Desmond Bishop to a one-year contract, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Bishop was released by the Green Bay Packers last week. He missed all of last year with a hamstring injury after posting back-to-back 100-tackle seasons. The 28-year-old spent his first six years with the Packers, who drafted him in the sixth round in 2007 out of California.
Bishop is expected to compete with Erin Henderson for the starting middle linebacker spot.
