THE VILLAGE OF PLUM CITY AND TOWN OF UNION TO DESIGNATE ALL DUTIES CONCERNING THE PLUM CITY/TOWN OF UNION FIRE DEPARTMENT
TO THE PLUM CITY/UNION FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Village Board of the Village of Plum City and the Town Board of the Town of Union as Co-owners of the Plum City/ Town of Union Fire Department do resolve the following:
WHEREAS, being in agreement; the Village of Plum City and the Town of Union give to the Plum City/Town of Union Fire Department authority in all duties including but not limited to legal and illegal burning by residents of said communities.
WHEREAS, the Plum City/Town of Union Fire Department shall be responsible for burning permits pursuant to Pierce County, Wisconsin Ordinance no 201.13(a), Procedures are in place for the Plum City/Town of Union Fire Department to issue fines following County Ordinance guidelines concerning illegal burning
or burning without a permit.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Village of Plum City Village Board and the Town of Union Board officially accept that the Plum City/Union Fire Department Fire Chief, Assistant Chief and Inspectors are the only members with authorization to issue permits or fines. Currently there is no charge for permits.
