Vivian Isabelle Kopp, 90
Vivian Isabelle Kopp, age 90, of Plum City, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Plum City Health Care Center. She was born Sept. 20, 1918, Salem Township, to Oscar and Pearl (Halverson) Olson. She graduated from Plum City High School and, on June 21, 1938, she married Max Kopp. She was confirmed at the Salem Lutheran Church and later became a member of the Ono United Methodist Church, Grange Hall. She was active in the church and was a member of the United Methodist Ladies Aide.
Vivian farmed alongside her husband Max in the Grange Hall area from 1938 to 1996. They then retired to Ellsworth, Wis. After 11 years, they moved to an Assisted Living Residence in Red Wing, Minn. For the last two years, they resided in Plum City Care Center.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Max; three children, Sharon (Jack) Ranalls of West St. Paul, Diane (Brian) Johnson of Elmwood, and Scott (Sandra) Kopp of Maiden Rock; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Leroy (Marian) Walsingham and Lester (Rosella) Walsingham; daughter-in-law, Jackie Kopp; and she is further survived by numerous extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by parents; step-father, Floyd Walsingham; son, Douglas Kopp; and a sister, Marjorie Bast.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Ono United Methodist Church with Reverend John Hazen officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2009, at the Hill Funeral Home, Ellsworth, and again one hour prior to the funeral service at church.
