Organizers are seeking volunteers from the community to serve on five "action teams" being formed as part of the initiative. Each team will represent one of five strategies determined by a group of 24 staff and community members and students during a planning session which was held in April, according to Superintendent Barry Cain.

"We need a minimum of 15 people on each team," Cain said Thursday, indicating all district residents are to receive a mailing about the volunteer recruitment Friday or Saturday, July 9 or 10. He asked district residents willing to serve to complete the form attached to the mailing and send it back to him at 300 Hillcrest St., Ellsworth, WI 54011 or e-mail him at cainb@ellsworth.k12.wi.us as soon as possible.
