Wanda M. Klecker, 94
Wanda M. Klecker, age 94, of Ellsworth, died Monday, June 8, 2009, at the Ellsworth Care Center.
Wanda was born on Nov. 6, 1914, in Durand, Wis., the daughter of Joseph and Orma (Hansemann) Schlumpf. She married John B. Klecker on Oct. 10, 1933, in Durand at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Wanda was a homemaker until her husband John passed away, and then worked for the care center for 10 years and later the senior center.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, playing cards, knitting, crocheting, spending time with her friends and family.
Wanda loved her Catholic faith and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and Altar & Rosary Society.
Wanda is survived by her three children, John "Jack" (Marge) Klecker, Layton, Utah, Joseph "Joe" Klecker, Webster, Wis., Karen (Tom) Cernohous, Prescott, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Joan Caselius, Richfield, Minn.; sister in-law, Gertrude Brenner, Ellsworth, Wis., daughter in-law, Virginia Klecker, Prescott, Wis.
Her husband, John, infant daughter, Elaine, parents, and two brothers, Bernard and Joseph, preceded her in death.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Ellsworth. Fr. Tom Donaldson officiated. Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery (Lost Creek) Ellsworth. Friends and family were invited to call on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church and for one hour prior to service on Friday.
Pallbearers were Wanda's grandchildren.
