The new First National Bank Ballpark in River Falls will get extensive use during the upcoming Wisconsin Baseball Association playoffs in 2014.

Not only is it the site for a regional just a couple of months after it opened, but will also host the state tournament as well.

Prescott will play its first playoff game at First National. The Pirates will take on the Merrill Rangers Saturday, Aug. 9 with the first pitch at approximately 4 p.m. If Prescott wins they will play again in River Falls Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. against the winner of the Osseo-Onalaska contest.

Ellsworth is the only other Pierce County squad involved in the tournament. The Hubbers will be in Hallie on Saturday, Aug. 9 for its regional semifinal contest vs. Sparta at 6 p.m.

An Ellsworth win sets them up against either Whitehall or Hudson in the regional finals, also Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.

The River Falls Fighting Fish will kick-off the tournament Friday, Aug. 7 by taking on Hallie in its regional semifinal starting at 7:30 p.m.
