WBA playoffs underway, Ellsworth and Prescott play this afternoon

The Wisconsin Baseball Association playoffs began last evening with four games played.

La Crosse topped Whittlesey 8-1 in Rib Lake; Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues whipped up on the Eau Claire Bears 15-0 in Coon Valley; Whitehall blanked Bruce 8-0 in Altoona and Osceola topped Grantsburg 9-4 at Oakey Park in Osceola.

Both Ellsworth and Prescott play their first round games this afternoon. Prescott plays at approximately 2 p.m. in Osceola against Onalaska and Ellsworth is scheduled to play at 3 p.m. in Altoona against Rib Lake.

If both teams win today they will play at 3 p.m. Sunday in the regional finals.
