Widows honored, pop tops given

Dean and Myrna Melby of Ellsworth are well known for their efforts to collect pop tops for the Shriners Hospital for Children. On June 21, the Melbys presented several bags of pop tops that came all the way from Denmark. A friend from Denmark was visiting the Melbys this summer and brought along the donation for the hospital. A pending storm did not dampen the enthusiasm of the St. Croix Valley Shrine Club’s annual banquet to honor the widows of departed Nobles n Baldwin June 21 at the American Legion Club.
