Authorities say a man was killed on Friday night after crashing into a tree with his snowmobile. The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department says the 20-year-old victim was snowmobiling with three other people when he lost control and hit a tree. The identity of the victim has not been released. Authorities believe alcohol was not a factor, but speed and the victim’s unfamiliarity with the trail was a factor.
