WISCONSIN NEWS ROUNDUP: Milk production was lower in December than in December 2012

For the second month in a row, Wisconsin's milk production was lower in December than it was a year earlier. According to new federal figures, Wisconsin pumped out two-point-three billion pounds of milk last month -- down one-point-nine percent from the previous December. The state's dairy herd remained steady at one-point-two-seven million cows, but the production per cow dropped 35-pounds to an average of 18-hundred-15.
