Lihrman's top throw of 76 feet, three inches, put him in first place as he became the first UW athlete to win first in a field event in the national indoor meet since Pat Matzdorf won the high jump back in 1971. He's UW's first individual national champ since Chris Solinsky in the 5000-meter run back in 2007.  UW has now won 13 indoor national titles which is the most of any school in the Big Ten. Wisconsin is currently in eighth place in the men's team standings with 11 points. Oregon is in first with 24 points. UW's Connor Reed finished in eighth place in the 5000 and also earned All-American status. The meet concludes today with UW having four more entries to participate.
